Gratitude looks a little different for me this year. As I stand here with my little family in front of this steam train—a symbol of life’s ongoing journey—I’m overwhelmed by the moments that have shaped me in 2024.

This year has been full of twists, turns, and learning curves. Becoming a mom has been the most profound experience of my life. It’s been exhausting yet exhilarating, challenging yet rewarding in ways I never imagined. I’m thankful for every sleepless night and every sticky vomit because they’re reminders of this fleeting, magical phase.

This year, I took a much-needed mental health break in my childhood home, reconnecting with my roots and rediscovering my source of strength. It was healing in ways I didn’t know I needed, a reminder of who I was before the titles of "wife" and "mom" entered my life. Eternally grateful to my family for being my A-team.

I said goodbye to relationships that no longer served me, clearing space for new, fulfilling friendships that add light and laughter to my days.

With my partner, it’s been a year of ups and downs, but every day, we make the choice to keep trying. It’s not perfect, but it’s ours.

I’m thankful for the laughter, the milestones, and even the messes because they’ve taught me patience, resilience, and joy in the simplest things.
